ALUN BENYON
Alun's funeral took place last Thursday (4th November) with so many people attending they were standing at the back which just goes to show what a very popular man Alun was. The music was just like Alun, cool and funky with an edge. The service was taken by Shirley Birks and Sue Drowler and after a shaky start (which I am sure Alun would have laughed his socks off) we then went on to hear from his friends and relatives which was a very touching memorial to a man who will be sorely missed by all who knew him and especially by his two granchildren. A celebration of his life indeed! I am sure we will have many visits from him in spirit. God Bless.

Alun was a great supporter of our centre and had been undegoing treatment for cancer for quite a while. Even though he was in pain and uncomfortable he still managed to attend on a Tuesday evening and even though he had difficulty with his voice, he still managed to have a laugh. He will be greatly missed by us all and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
