Membership - we now operate a membership system. From January 2011 we are going to change the membership from bi-annual to Annual (no change in the price) so from January 2011 the membership will be £6.00 for the year. The benefits of becoming a member of the Friendship Spiritual Centre is that when we organise events members will have priority booking and at a reduced rate. Tickets will then be open to non-members. Other benefits will include being able to borrow books from our new library (this facility is for members only), and of course automatic invitation to our Christmas Party.
Library - Only members of the centre will are allowed to use the library and there will be a deposit for each book taken out plus a weekly charge. Upon return of the book the deposit will either be returned or if you should choose to take another book, then you can leave the deposit and pay a further week charge out of your deposit. The reason for the deposit is to ensure that books are returned to the centre. Some of the books are old and obviously we would like to ensure that other members can enjoy reading them.
Animal Rescue Centre in Harefield - we have been collecting dog/cat food and bedding for several weeks now on behalf of the Animal Rescue Centre in Harefield and have been pleased with the response. We will continue to collect for this worthy cause and welcome donations of dog and cat food and anything that can be used as bedding for these animals (towels/blankets etc). Due to many circumstances (along with the recession) it has become apparent that many animals are being rejected due to cost and so the centre has been inundated with unwanted pets and strays and has also seen the decline in donations over the recent months so if any of you can help ease their plight it would be very much appreciated. Anyone wishing to leave donations either take them along to the Rescue Centre itself or bring them along on a Tuesday evening to us and we will ensure that the gifts are passed on. Many thanks.
